Zamalek Club has announced the extension of basketball team captain Omar Hisham's contract.
Hisham signed a new contract with Zamalek, extending his tenure for two additional seasons.
The signing of Hisham's contract took place in the presence of Hisham Nasr, the club's vice president.
Previously, Hisham won titles with Zamalek in the African Clubs Championship League and the Egypt Cup, and also participated with the team in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
Mohamed Salim "Solly" will lead Zamalek's coaching staff next season, succeeding Wael Badr.
"Solly" is considered one of the most prominent rising coaches in Egyptian basketball, having achieved a series of successes over recent years at both club and national team levels.
He began his career as an assistant coach with Telecom Egypt, contributing to securing fourth place in the league championship, in addition to reaching third place in the Egypt Cup twice.
In terms of technical leadership, he guided Telecom Egypt to win the Cairo Zone Championship twice, finished third in the league, and reached the Egypt Cup final last season, securing second place after facing Zamalek—marking the first time in the club's history and representing one of the team's most notable achievements.
