Basketball.. Ismail Ahmed storms into the Guinness Book of Records

Egyptian basketball legend Ismail Ahmed, player of the Lebanese Riyadi team, carved his name in gold in the game's records after entering the Guinness Book of Records.

The Lebanese Riyadi team revealed that Ismail Ahmed achieved a historic feat by entering the Guinness Book, as the oldest player to record a "triple double" in a single match in the history of basketball.

Ismail Ahmed is 49 years and 243 days old.

Ismail Ahmed contributed to crowning Al-Riyadi Club as champion of the Lebanese Basketball League for the 2025-2026 season, after settling the final series against Al-Hikma team, and winning the decisive match with a score of 100-79.

The Egyptian star achieved a "triple-double," which means recording 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists or more in a single match.

Ismail Ahmed has an honorable career in basketball, having played for Al-Ittihad Alexandria.
