Ayman Sedki, head of the basketball department at Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club, revealed updates regarding the registration of owner Yasser Abu El-Fotouh on the team's roster.
Sedki told FilGoal.com: "The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Basketball Federation has confirmed Al-Ittihad Alexandria's right to sign former Al-Ahly player Yasser Abu El-Fotouh."
He added, "The player will resume training in the coming days."
Yasser Abu El-Fotouh will be Al-Ittihad Alexandria's second signing for the upcoming season after Sami Al-Iraqi.
Al-Ittihad Alexandria had announced weeks ago the appointment of Ahmed Omar as the team's coach, replacing Ashraf Tawfik.
This followed their loss of the Egyptian League title last season to Al-Ahly.
