The three Alexandria-based teams defeated El-Seid, Tala'ea El-Gaish, and Damanhour Games, respectively.
Al-Ittihad Alexandria beat El-Seid 80-61 in the men's match, while their combined team won 73-40.
Sporting defeated Tala'ea El-Gaish 73-66 in the men's game, and clinched the combined match with a score of 86-57.
Finally, Al-Olympi beat Damanhour Games 68-65 in the men's match and 69-57 in the combined fixture.
The Combined League is one of the major tournaments on the Egyptian basketball calendar, as its results determine the matchups for the first phase of the Super League, which qualifies teams for the Basketball Africa League, based on the standings in the competition.
Sixteen teams are participating in this edition: Al-Ahly, Al-Ittihad Alexandria, Telecom Egypt, Zamalek, Petrojet, Sporting, Smouha, Gezira, Al-Qanah, Tala'ea El-Gaish, Heliopolis, Al-Olympi, Sahab Al-Geyad, El-Seid, Al-Zuhour, and Damanhour Games.
The preliminary round is played in a home-and-away format. The winning team in both the men's matches and the under-16 combined games receives two points, while the losing team gets one point.
The top team from each of the four groups advances directly to the quarter-finals, while the second- and third-placed teams play tie-breaker matches to secure the remaining spots in the last eight.
