Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club announced the signing of Malik Yasser Abu El-Fotouh to strengthen its men's basketball team.
Malik Yasser left Al-Ahly after last season ended, and the Egyptian Basketball Federation confirmed the player's right to transfer to any other club.
The player signed with Al-Ittihad for one season.
Ayman Sedky, head of the basketball department at Al-Ittihad, told FilGoal.com: "The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Basketball Federation has confirmed Al-Ittihad Alexandria's right to sign Malik Yasser, the former Al-Ahly player."
He added, "The player will join training sessions in the coming days."
Malik Yasser will be Al-Ittihad Alexandria's third signing for the upcoming season, following Sami Al-Iraqi and Ahmed Reyhan.
Al-Ittihad Alexandria had announced a few weeks ago the appointment of Ahmed Omar as the team's coach, replacing Ashraf Tawfik.
This came after losing the Egyptian League title last season to Al-Ahly.
Malik Yasser won the Egyptian League title last season with Al-Ahly.
