The curtain fell on the 2026 summer transfer window yesterday, Tuesday, which saw strong moves by FC Barcelona. The Catalan club successfully strengthened its squad with several notable signings, headlined by Spanish star Rodri, who arrived from Manchester City.
Barcelona entered the transfer market with force, driven by the desire of German head coach Hansi Flick to bolster the squad with more players capable of competing in all competitions, especially after last season when the Blaugrana won the La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona's moves were not limited to signing big names; the market also saw the arrival of several young players, including Egyptian Hamza Abdelkarim from Al Ahly, alongside other signings to reinforce different lines of the team.

Barcelona began strengthening its squad by signing goalkeeper Livakovic for 2 million euros, plus 2 million euros in bonuses and add-ons.
In midfield, the Catalan club made one of its most prominent signings by bringing in Spanish player Rodri from Manchester City for 60 million euros, plus 16.5 million euros in bonuses and rewards linked to the deal.
As for the attacking line, the top signing was English winger Gordon, who arrived from Newcastle for 70 million euros, plus 10 million euros in add-ons.
Barcelona also signed German player Adeyemi for 22 million euros, plus 7 million euros in performance-related bonuses, while Brazilian Gabriel Jesus joined for 10 million euros.
The list of signings also included Bissou for 8.5 million euros, and Hamza Abdelkarim from Egyptian club Al Ahly for 1.5 million euros.
In return, Portuguese player Joao Cancelo returned to Barcelona on a free transfer, completing the Catalan team's reinforcements during the summer market.
Barcelona's total investment in the 2026 summer transfers reached approximately 174 million euros, making this the highest amount the club has spent during the Joan Laporta era.
Flick hopes that these reinforcements will reflect on the team's performance in the new season, as Barcelona has set retaining its domestic titles and competing strongly for the UEFA Champions League title among its main objectives.
