Barcelona received notification of the complaint filed by Atletico Madrid due to the Argentine international striker Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez had publicly stated, after Argentina's match against Austria in the World Cup, that he informed Atletico Madrid officials of his desire to leave, with him being on Barcelona's radar.
At the end of last June, the president of Atletico Madrid announced that he would file a complaint against Barcelona with the International Football Federation "FIFA" and the Spanish Football Federation.
That complaint came due to the pressures exerted by the Catalan club and the harassment of Julian Alvarez in an attempt to force him to move to Camp Nou stadium, according to what Atletico Madrid claimed.

Atletico Madrid stressed that the player has a long-term contract with a penalty clause worth 500 million euros.
The Spanish newspaper "AS" said that Barcelona Club received the complaint and the Royal Spanish Football Federation informed the club and the Blaugrana will have a few days to present a legal argument regarding this matter.
It stated that it is unlikely that the case will result in any outcome with FIFA or with the Royal Spanish Football Federation, which does not have the authority to consider it.
It mentioned that the administrative bodies view the case as merely a dispute between two major clubs that never have a good relationship.
