One of Barcelona's players has settled his stance regarding joining Manchester City's ranks during the current summer transfer window.
Marc Bernal is considered one of Hans Flick's bets since assuming leadership of Barcelona, and despite that, his cruciate ligament injury has complicated his emergence with the first team.
Bernal returned to the pitches last season with Barcelona and delivered an eye-catching performance to become one of the best midfielders, also capitalizing on Dutchman Frenkie de Jong's injury and his absence for a limited period.
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Marc Bernal has confirmed his long-term commitment to stay with Barcelona at Camp Nou stadium, after reports circulated about a potential transfer to Manchester City.

Bernal said regarding Manchester City and Atletico Madrid's interest in signing him: "It's true that I saw these reports but I don't attach any importance to them."
He added: "I am here in the pre-season training camp to prepare myself and that is all I am focusing on. I want to have a good preparation period; this is something my agent handles, but I want to stay here for many years."
He continued: "The Champions League is both a goal and a dream for all Barcelona fans. We have a team with huge potential and we are capable of winning the title."
He concluded: "When you are obsessed and think you have to win the title at any cost, things do not go well, but if we do things the right way and maintain our humility, we will achieve success."
