Foreign media reports have revealed that FC Barcelona has officially begun moves to improve and secure the contract of Hamza Abdel Karim, a first-team player.
Spanish journalist Juli Claramont stated that negotiations are currently underway to renew Hamza Abdel Karim's contract, with an official meeting held two days ago.
Claramont clarified via his official social media account that a meeting took place last Monday between Barcelona's management and the agent of the Egyptian striker to discuss improving the contract.
Previously, on August 21, Juli Claramont confirmed that the club primarily aims to increase the release clause in Hamza Abdel Karim's contract from €15 million to €150 million.
The 18-year-old striker participated in all of Barcelona's friendly matches during the pre-season preparation for the current campaign, scoring four goals, the latest against Al-Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy, before making his official debut against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
It is worth noting that Hamza Abdel Karim joined Barcelona's youth team last winter from Al-Ahly, before the buyout clause was activated this summer.
