Spanish club Barcelona has made an important decision regarding the future of team player Ferran Torres, amid widespread speculation about his fate and the possibility of his departure from "Camp Nou" in the current summer transfer window.
Ferran Torres is linked to the possibility of leaving Barcelona's ranks that summer, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain club in securing his services, especially since his current contract ends in summer 2027.
Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that Barcelona does not intend to change its strategy in dealing with Ferran Torres' future, as it will offer him a contract renewal starting in September, in line with the management's salary policy, and does not intend to enter into a bidding war over the player.
It stated that if Ferran Torres accepts one of the offers submitted for his departure, with Paris Saint-Germain currently leading the scene, Barcelona does not intend to increase the salary offered to him for contract renewal and will negotiate his departure for acceptable financial fees.

It stressed that Barcelona wants to retain the Spanish player's services in the team, but at the same time does not intend to abandon its policy, as their position is strongly clear on this matter and tempting offers will not push them to change it.
It added that Ferran Torres is indeed a beloved player at Barcelona and has succeeded in leaving his mark with the team, but the club does not see anyone as untouchable.
It confirmed that Barcelona has not received any official moves from Paris Saint-Germain, nor have they received information from the player himself or those close to him, as they only learned of the circulating speculation through the media.
It concluded that the ball is now in Ferran Torres' court, as everything depends on his final decision, whether he settles on staying or leaving.
