Barcelona club has finalized its signing of the young Belgian Jesse Pessio, Club Brugge player, after the 18-year-old player signed his contract with the Catalan club today, Friday, at the offices of the sports city in Sant Joan Despi.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Barcelona is expected to officially announce the deal today, Friday.
The agreement between Barcelona and Club Brugge regarding Jesse Pessio had been settled several days ago, with only some contractual details remaining, which have already been resolved.
The newspaper noted that the promising Belgian left winger signed with Barcelona this afternoon after passing the medical examination, before leaving the sports city on foot with his agents to head to lunch, while Deco welcomed him inside the club's facilities.
The Belgian player's transfer fee amounts to around 8.5 million euros that Barcelona will pay, in addition to Club Brugge receiving 20% of the value of any future sale of the player.
Dribbling and speed down the left flank are among the most prominent strengths that Pessio possesses.
Mundo Deportivo had previously revealed on July 8 that Barcelona was launching a strong offensive to sign Pessio, after the club considered the deal a priority due to his technical quality, good physical build, as he stands at 1.85 meters tall, in addition to his great potential for future development.
Pessio will receive a card with the reserve team, but he will be part of the first team's dynamics due to the great potential he possesses.
