The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, issued a set of decisions regarding banning Reda Abdel Aal, the former Al Ahly and Zamalek player, from appearing in the media.

The Supreme Council for Media clarified in an official statement that the Sports Media Performance Control Committee was tasked with following up and monitoring what happened in recent weeks on the sidelines of the Egyptian national team's participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The Supreme Council for Media clarified that the Media Performance Control Committee recommended banning Reda Abdel Aal from appearing for 4 months, with a final warning to close his accounts on social media if his recent violations continue.

The committee also recommended drawing attention to Mohamed Farouk, Osama Hassan, Khaled El Ghandour, Magdy Abdel Ghani, Bassem Morsi, Afaf Nassar, Islam Sadek, Ahmed Jamal, and Ahmed Osama.

In addition to obligating TEN channel to pay a financial amount of 200 thousand pounds, for allowing the broadcast of the mentioned violations through the program "Al Primo".

For its part, the Supreme Council decided to postpone the activation of the mentioned recommendations at the present time, and grant all parties a final opportunity to comply with the provisions of the law, media codes, and professional controls.

The Council affirmed that any repetition of violations will result in the implementation of the recommendations whose activation was previously postponed, in addition to the decisions taken regarding any new violations, in accordance with the provisions of the law and the regulating regulations.
