Ayman Younes, former star of Zamalek, commented on the start of the first football team's campaign in the 2026-2027 Egyptian Premier League following their draw against Al Ittihad Alexandria.
Zamalek drew goalless with their counterparts Al Ittihad Alexandria in the match held last Friday evening at Cairo International Stadium, in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League competition.

And Ayman Younes wrote on his official account on the "X" platform: "An expected start and certainly very worrying... All conditions before the season began were against preparing the team professionally."
He added: "No one should blame Moataz or the players; they gave their utmost... With time, things will improve, God willing... It is still too early to judge the team... Our fans are the beautiful rose that we enjoy for its beauty in cheering."
It is worth noting that Zamalek will play their next match against National Bank of Egypt within the second round competitions of the Egyptian Premier League, on the upcoming Wednesday, August 26.
