Former Egyptian football star Ayman Younes criticized the exclusion of Zamalek goalkeeper Mehdi Soliman from the match against AS Port Djibouti in the CAF Champions League.
Zamalek will face AS Port at 8:00 PM today, Friday, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at Cairo Stadium.

Ayman Younes stated in remarks on On Sport Channel: "There is a question mark over Mehdi Soliman's absence; if the intention was to rest him, he should have been on the bench, but completely excluding him from the match is incomprehensible."
He added: "Excluding Mohamed Awad is understandable, but excluding Mehdi Soliman in this manner is incomprehensible and raises questions. Ahmed Fathou's absence is also incomprehensible; we do not know what they want or what they are thinking, and his absence has become an ongoing series, not due to injury."
He concluded: "Today's player selections do not suit the match strategy, but circumstances force Motamed Gamal. Zamalek Club faces major problems in the defensive line, evidenced by the numerous chances faced by Zamalek's goal in recent matches."
