Ayman El-Sharai, president of Sharqia Enppi Club, criticized the penalty imposed on Mohamed Barakat, the team's head coach, by the League of Clubs.
The League of Clubs decided to ban Mohamed Barakat, Sharqia Enppi's coach, from being with the team for four matches, along with a fine of 20,000 Egyptian pounds, due to using obscene language towards the referee.
El-Sharai wrote on his Facebook account: "Captain Mahmoud Naji described Captain Barakat's phrase, 'You don't understand the law,' as disgraceful conduct in the penalty notice, and wrote 'violent conduct' in his final report, while the Competitions Committee issued the penalty under the title of using obscene language."
He added: "Regardless of the referee's expressive error in describing the conduct as both 'disgraceful' and 'violent,' given the significant difference in meaning, especially since 'violent' must involve force, Captain... meaning hitting you!! And not with his hands, because violence means excessive force."
The president of Sharqia Enppi Club continued: "I wished that Captain Mahmoud, a major international referee, if your Arabic didn't suffice, it would have been more appropriate to use the English you use in your international participation, and we would all have understood what you wanted."
He went on: "And the Competitions Committee, headed by the dear Taha Azaz, who imposed the closest penalty to the two descriptions that have nothing to do with each other, and naturally has no connection, near or far, to Barakat's phrase 'You don't understand the law,' which became so due to strange, bizarre, and suspicious procedures."
El-Sharai concluded his remarks with a message to Mohamed Barakat, saying: "I say a saying to the young, diligent, educated, and different coach, Mohamed Barakat."
Sharqia Enppi had lost its first match in the Egyptian Premier League to Al Ahly Club with a score of (3-2) at the Cairo International Stadium.
