Ahmed Abdelmaqsoud, the technical director of Petrol Assiut, revealed his team's preparations to compete in the new season after qualifying for the Egyptian Premier League.
Abdelmaqsoud said in exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura": "We will face Al Ahly on August 5 in a friendly match at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium in Gezira".
He added: "We seek to achieve the greatest benefit from the friendly matches, and facing Al Ahly will be a strong and useful test for the players before the start of our journey in the Premier League".
He continued: "We have not made many deals during the summer transfer period, and we rely heavily on the squad that competed in the Professional League, but I trust the players and their ability to present a good level in the Premier League".
The technical director of Petrol Assiut concluded his statements by saying: "Our goal is to stay in the Premier League and appear in a manner befitting the team".
