Assiut Petroleum forced Smouha to a goalless draw in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match took place at 5:00 PM at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The game witnessed only four shots hitting the posts or crossbar by both teams, two for each side, out of a total of 19 attempts over 90 minutes.
In the 8th minute, Amgad Youssef, Assiut Petroleum's goalkeeper, saved an attempt and a one-on-one situation by Papi Badji.
Ahmed Mehoub, Smouha's goalkeeper, blocked a powerful shot by Ahmed Khaled in the 37th minute.
Khaled El-Ghandour tried early in the second half, but his shot was easily saved by the goalkeeper.
Mehoub prevented a header opportunity by Joshua Ejjagu, an Assiut Petroleum player, in the 85th minute, ending the match in a goalless draw.
This is the second draw for Assiut Petroleum, after they drew 1-1 with Suez Petrojet in the first round.
Meanwhile, Smouha earned their first point after losing 1-0 to Al-Masry.
