Zamalek channel announced reaching an agreement with Vuk Rašović as the team's new coach.

Rašović is scheduled to arrive in Cairo during the current week to officially complete the contract and begin his journey with the team.

And FilGoal.com had previously revealed Rašović's presence as the most prominent candidate to coach Zamalek during the next season.

The 53-year-old began his coaching career in 2006 as an assistant coach for the Serbian team Partizan.

He led Teleoptik in 2011 in his first experience as a head coach.

In 2013, Rašović returned to coach Partizan but as a technical director in an experience that lasted one season.

The Serbian coach has also previously led the Belarusian team Dynamo Minsk in 2015.

Rašović has coached several teams in the Arab region, most notably Al-Faisaly and Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia, and Al-Dhafra, Al-Wahda, and Kalba in the UAE.

FIFA had previously described the Serbian coach in a report as a "giant killer" for his ability to overcome big teams in the Saudi league.

During his career, Rašović won the Serbian league with Partizan 4 times, whether as technical director or assistant, the Serbian Cup twice, and the Saudi Cup once with Al-Fayha.

Rašović's last experience was with Emirati club Ittihad Kalba, during which the team played 48 matches, winning 13, losing 22, and drawing 13.

Zamalek had won the Egyptian Premier League title last season for the 15th time in its history.

Zamalek will participate in the African Champions League next season.

Zamalek is preparing to begin the pre-season training period after selecting the coach who will lead the team.
