Reda Salem stated via his Instagram social media account: "Some news reports and social media pages have circulated rumors claiming that an agreement has been reached to mutually terminate my contract with Al-Ahly Club and that I am close to returning to AS FAR Rabat."
He added, "However, these reports are completely unfounded. I am currently fully focused on my physical and technical readiness to deliver my best performance and earn a spot in the coaching staff's plans to compete for a starting position within Al-Ahly."
A source from Al-Ahly revealed the truth regarding the alleged termination of the club's contract with its Moroccan player, Reda Salem.
The source told FilGoal.com: "What is being said about the termination of Reda Salem's contract is incorrect. The player is included in the team squad, and the coaching staff is considering all players in their plans."
He added, "It is not possible to release a player after the registration window has closed."
Reda Salem returned to Al-Ahly after completing his loan spell last season with Morocco's AS FAR Rabat.
Al-Ahly decided to include the Moroccan duo, Reda Salem and Achraf Dari, in the team squad after failing to sign two other foreign players.
Reda Salem has not yet been included in Al-Ahly's squad for the Egyptian Premier League since the start of the current season.
Al-Ahly will face El Mokawloon El Arab in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League next Wednesday.
Al-Ahly won their first three league matches against Sharqia, ENPPI, ZED, and Smouha.
