The newspaper "AS" spoke this morning about the qualities of Hamza Abdel Karim, the Egyptian national team star, following the young player's joining of Barcelona club's training camp in England, where the Blaugrana are preparing for the new season.
Hans Flick, Barcelona club coach, summoned Hamza Abdel Karim to a 31-player squad, as the Blaugrana will play two friendly matches in England in preparation for the new season, the first next Saturday against Birmingham City, and the second against Preston North End on August 3.
Hamza Abdel Karim is seeking to prove himself during the preparation period with Barcelona, so that the 18-year-old can earn an opportunity with the first team during the new season.
AS praised Hamza Abdel Karim's abilities, as the newspaper spoke about the qualities of the Egyptian international, alongside 16 other players from Barcelona's academy whom Flick summoned to the England camp.

AS said about Hamza Abdel Karim: "Barcelona signed him permanently, as he signed a contract until 2029. Hamza Abdel Karim spent six months with the under-19 youth team, played nine matches in the youth league and scored six goals during them, including a hat-trick in the 9-0 thrashing of Monte Carlo on the day the team won the under-19 league title."
The newspaper added: "He will play next season with the reserve team under the leadership of Belletti, but he will participate in first-team training, while the Egyptian player participated in the last World Cup, where he played three matches, and occupies the position of a pure striker, a position somewhat unusual for Barcelona, as he is adept at playing with his back to goal and possesses high physical strength."
Hamza Abdel Karim shone remarkably with Barcelona during the second half of last season, which prompted the Spanish club to sign him permanently from Egyptian club Al Ahly.
Hamza Abdel Karim may be loaned out in the coming period to one of the Spanish Segunda División clubs, so that the young striker gains more experience, and then returns to Barcelona.
