Jumaa Mashhour, the technical director of Talaie El-Gesh, revealed the truth about an agreement with Zamalek Club to sign Ali Hamdi, a player from the first football team, before the registration ban was imposed on the White Knights, as well as Al-Ahly's stance on signing the player.
Mashhour stated in television interviews on "ON E" channel: "We have a goal with the board of directors to try our best to avoid problems like those that occurred last season and to finish the season on a good note."
He added: "We will take things step by step, and God willing, we will achieve this goal. We have good players who delivered excellent performances since last season, and I hope Hossam Hassan gives them consideration because they are no less important than the players currently in the Egyptian national team."

When asked whether Ali Hamdi would have transferred to Zamalek if not for the registration ban, the Talaie El-Gesh coach replied: "Indeed, Zamalek Club spoke with the player and signed with them, but the deal stopped due to the registration ban."
He added: "Al-Ahly did not intervene in this deal, but they got involved in the deal concerning Khaled Awad, who transferred to Pyramids FC. Al-Ahly entered the deal late, while Pyramids showed more seriousness."
He concluded his statements: "From my perspective, Al-Ahly suffered technically by not signing Khaled Awad. He was the best right-back available in the league and would have made a significant difference had he joined the Red Devils."
