English club Fulham announced the appointment of Spaniard Álvaro Arbeloa as the team's new coach.
Arbeloa's contract with Fulham extends for three years until the summer of 2029.
Arbeloa said: "I am extremely honored to begin this new phase with Fulham, the oldest club in London. I feel a great responsibility, and I extend my thanks to Mr. Shahid Khan and Tony Khan for the trust they have given me to lead the team in the English Premier League".
He added: "I look forward with passion to playing my first match at Craven Cottage stadium among Fulham fans, and to starting the preparation period with the players next week. I am confident that we will have a wonderful journey together".
Arbeloa took over the coaching of Fulham succeeding the Portuguese coach Marco Silva.
Arbeloa, who is 43 years old, begins his first coaching experience in the English league, after paving his coaching path within Real Madrid, where he worked with the youth teams before taking charge of the first team during the past season.
Arbeloa recently ended his mission with Real Madrid after a short period that lasted 6 months, after assuming responsibility last January succeeding Xabi Alonso.
Arbeloa left Real Madrid for the veteran Portuguese José Mourinho to take over the task of coaching the royal club.
By coincidence, Fulham led by Arbeloa will play against Chelsea led by Xabi Alonso in the first round of the new season on August 24 next.
Fulham finished last season in 11th place with 54 points, which is the best record in the club's history in the English Premier League, before repeating the same position in the current season.
