Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab Club announced its signing of Shadi Hussein, the former Al-Ahly striker, as part of strengthening its ranks during the current summer transfer window.
An official statement from Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab read: "The club's management succeeded in concluding a strong attacking deal to bolster the first team's ranks by announcing the signing of goalscorer Shadi Hussein, the former ZED club star".
It added: "Shadi Hussein is considered one of the most prominent strikers in the Egyptian League in recent years, thanks to his intelligent movement and high goal-scoring instinct, and his presence in Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab's forward line is expected to provide a major tactical and technical addition to the technical staff".
Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab clarified that the signing of Shadi Hussein, who is 33 years old, came as a free transfer after the player's contract with his former club, ZED, expired.
The contract signing session was attended by Mohamed Adel Fathi, the club's vice president and general supervisor of football, and Talaat Moharam, the football director, where both parties finalized the agreement to complete the player's joining procedures with an official contract extending for the next three seasons.
Shadi Hussein expressed his great pride in wearing the Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab shirt again, having previously played for the club's youth teams, which he described as one of the historical pillars of Egyptian football.
The new Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab striker also affirmed that he will do his utmost alongside his teammates to deliver an exceptional season and ensure the team's presence in a position befitting its heritage and rich history.
