Negotiations for Mohamed Salah's transfer to Besiktas stopped in the past few days, after the Egyptian star was close to moving to the Turkish league next season.
Press reports indicated that the reason for the suspension of negotiations is due to Rami Abbas, the Egyptian star's agent, who demanded 35% of the deal's value.
Besiktas rejected this exaggerated percentage from Rami Abbas, and club president Serdal Adalı stipulated reducing the commission percentage to complete the deal.

Turkish journalist "Yagiz Sabuncoglu" confirmed that Rami Abbas agreed to reduce the commission he was demanding but is asking for increases in other clauses.
Rami Abbas indicated that this deal will be his last before retiring from this task: "This will be Mohamed Salah's last transfer deal, I will leave my job after completing it."
Mohamed Salah had contributed to Egypt's national team qualifying for the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, and scored one goal in the tournament against New Zealand in the group stage.
