Cody Gakpo is linked with a departure from Liverpool before the end of the current summer transfer window, which closes tomorrow, Tuesday.
Manchester City is considered the closest to signing Gakpo, as reports indicate that the Dutch international agreed on personal terms with the Citizens last Saturday.
Liverpool has no issue with letting Gakpo go, but only on the condition of signing a replacement winger for the former PSV Eindhoven player.

Ismaila Sarr, the star of Crystal Palace, is among the top candidates to strengthen the winger position at Liverpool, following the official signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain.
French journalist "Fabrice Hawkins" reported that Crystal Palace rejected a second offer from Liverpool to sign Ismaila Sarr.
Hawkins clarified via his official account on the "X" platform that Sarr wants to join Liverpool at all costs and has decided to rebel against Crystal Palace; he will not train today with his teammates as he pushes for a move to the Reds.
He added that Sarr no longer wishes to continue with Crystal Palace, but if Liverpool fails to sign the Senegalese international, Gakpo is expected to remain with the English club.

Italian journalist "Fabrizio Romano" also reported that Gakpo has no issue with staying at Liverpool, despite his agreement with Manchester City, while everything currently depends on the possibility of signing Ismaila Sarr; the Reds have informed Gakpo's agents of this.
