Hussein Ammouta, the technical director of Al Ahly Club, revealed the details of the Reds' negotiations with him to assume responsibility.

Al Ahly announced the appointment of Ammouta as technical director of the team starting from next season.
Al Ahly held a press conference to introduce Wael Gomaa as director of football and Ammouta as technical director.
Ammouta said during the press conference: "I extend my thanks to the management of Al Ahly Club and Mahmoud El Khatib and Yassin Mansour and the entire board of directors who unanimously approved my presence and gave me the opportunity to be part of the best club system in Africa in terms of numbers and achievements".
He continued, "It is an honor for me to be present and bear the responsibility of Al Ahly Club. I know that its fans are not satisfied except with titles and victories, and we all agree on that, and I hope that we will present a season worthy of the club's reputation, and with the capabilities available at the club, I expect that we will be the closest to winning titles".
He added, "I am one of the coaches who do not talk much and do not like to appear, and that is why I ask you not to pressure me about appearing a lot. Of course, we want to give the media its due, but only by talking about the pitch".
He continued, "I would like to extend my congratulations to Egypt and Morocco for their excellent performance in the World Cup, and I wish Egypt success against Argentina and reaching the quarterfinals".
He revealed, "Al Ahly's negotiations with me began more than a month ago. The first person who spoke to me was Sayed Abdel Hafeez, and we met outside Egypt, then Yassin Mansour spoke to me, then we discussed the contract and things went well".
He stressed, "The selection of professional players is available to all nationalities, and in the event that a required Moroccan talent is available, it would be better because I know all the Moroccan players, but Al Ahly is a global club and my choices will not be limited to signing only a Moroccan player. We will only sign the suitable player of any nationality who is chosen by the management and the technical staff".
He continued, "The pressure present inside Al Ahly regarding the necessity of being at the forefront and searching for championships makes it necessary to introduce any player from the youth gradually. Sometimes it is possible to use them, but according to the team's situation, and I would like to have young elements within the team".
He added, "The main motivation for coaching Al Ahly is getting the opportunity to coach a big team, which does not come every year, and I hope for success with it in winning championships".
He added, "I used to follow Al Ahly, but following from afar while not professionally associated with the team means watching naturally like a fan for enjoyment, whereas following from within the team is different. You must interact with the players to know their personalities".
He concluded, "We must exploit the fan support. I played against Al Ahly twice and I know how much the fans' support is, and whoever accepts to be at Al Ahly must know that there is pressure and learn how to live with it".
Al Ahly's preparation period for the next season begins this evening under the leadership of Hussein Ammouta.
