The Moroccan Hussein Amouta, the new technical director of Al Ahly Club team, responded to the reason for his agreement to coach the Cairo team, during his presence at the press conference dedicated to his introduction before the media.
Al Ahly Club had recently announced the holding of a press conference at the club's headquarters in Gezira, in order to introduce the Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta to the fans, to begin his mission officially before the start of the new season 2026-2027.
The correspondent of "Yalla Koura", during his presence at the press conference, was keen to inquire about the reasons for Amouta's agreement to lead Al Ahly team, so the Moroccan coach replied: "The opportunity to coach Al Ahly Club does not come every year".
He added: "It is from the nature of my personality that I am a coach who seeks to win championships and ascend to the podiums of crowning, so I strive to win championships with Al Ahly Club".
The appointment of Amouta comes as a replacement for the Danish coach Jess Thorup, who left after agreeing to terminate the contract by mutual consent, due to his failure in his mission inside the "Red Castle".
Al Ahly Club emerged in the past season achieving a single title, which is the Egyptian Super Cup, which was achieved against Zamalek team in the final match after winning with a score of 2-0.
Hussein Amouta is scheduled to face many challenges inside the Red Castle locally, such as the Egyptian League championship and the Egypt Cup, and he will also compete in the African Confederation Cup.
