Hussein Ammouta, the technical director of Al-Ahly's first football team, commented on his team's 2-0 victory over ZED in the Egyptian Premier League.
Ammouta said in the post-match press conference: "We expected the match to be difficult; there is no easy game. We delivered a strong performance, except for the last 10 minutes of the first half, when there was a lack of focus. We could have scored more than two goals."
He added: "We made mistakes toward the end of the first half and showed some complacency. We were facing an organized opponent with fast players up front, so it was natural that they launched attacks against us. However, we kept a clean sheet today."

Regarding the participation of Koka and Taher Mohamed Taher, despite fan criticism, he commented: "They are very important players with great potential. Taher delivered a good performance today, as did Koka. Both have been with us since the beginning of the preparation period. The national team players trained with us for only three weeks, unlike the rest of the squad who trained for a longer period."
He continued: "Players' mistakes are natural; they are not yet at full fitness. This disparity led several players to feature for more than 70 minutes. Everyone will get their chance, and Al-Ahly is competing for all titles."
On renewing the contracts of Marwan and Imam, he said: "This is a positive step. Imam's injury delayed his availability with us. The team needs all players to be fully fit. We also have Ashraf Dari and Reda Salem, and we are working to prepare everyone. Today's match did not involve many mistakes compared to the previous one. So far, the players' understanding of my ideas stands at around 60 to 65 percent."
