Amir Azmi Mujahid, the former Zamalek coach, spoke about the preparations of the White Team to participate in the African Champions League next season, stressing that the task will not be easy given the strength of the competition, and the team's need to strengthen its ranks and possess a strong bench of substitutes, pointing to the current crisis related to the football company and the investors' share.
Amir Azmi Mujahid said in statements via "On Sport" channel: "Zamalek's task in the African Champions League next season will be difficult, because any team competing for a championship must have a strong bench of substitutes, and reinforcements that help the team".
He continued: "One of the reasons for losing the Confederation last season is that Zamalek did not have a bench of substitutes, and the main players exerted all their efforts, to the point that Zamalek fans were afraid because the players (gave their all)".

He added: "The African Champions League is a different tournament; Zamalek must have an abundance on the substitutes' bench, and if it cannot sign new reinforcements, no one should leave the team, no players from the youth team should leave, Amir Abdel Aziz and Ammar Yasser, these two are good players, they must continue, and there must be a solution to this matter".
He continued: "I am sad about the state Zamalek Club has reached; today it stands waiting for a decision on whether investors or the administration will pay the club?! We are not a small club; when we were winning many titles, there were no such problems. This is the first time we hear that Zamalek is waiting for an investor to inject funds. The White Castle should not be run this way; Zamalek is an institutional club".
He pointed out: "Throughout our lives we have won titles with boards of directors; today we have financial problems, so was the current board elected to come and solve those problems or to search for an investor?! I am neither against John Edward nor with him, but naturally decisions are issued by the elected board of directors, like Al Ahly Club and clubs with history".
He concluded: "The matter will be even more difficult if the current board's term ends and a new board comes; there will be no agreement on the football company story, and we will enter into problems and conflicts, so today the priority is to have immediate solutions".
