Ali Mahmoud, the new Al Ahly player, confirmed that returning to the ranks of the Red Castle represents the fulfillment of a dream that has haunted him for years, pointing out that he did not consider any other offers, after receiving a call from club officials informing him of the desire to contract with him.

Ali Mahmoud said in statements via Al Ahly's account on "Facebook": "Playing for Al Ahly was a big dream for me, and returning to my home again is something I can't even believe until now".
He added: "I am not a stranger to the club, as I spent six years in the youth sector before leaving in 2015, and thank God I returned again, I hope to be a strong addition to the team in the coming period".
He continued: "When I left Al Ahly, I felt great frustration, but my family was the biggest supporter for me, and they always encouraged me to work hard and focus, and affirmed that I have the capabilities that qualify me to return to the club again, which has indeed been achieved".
The new Al Ahly player spoke about the behind-the-scenes of his return, saying: "I received a call from Captain Essam El-Din Siraj, and he informed me during it of Al Ahly's desire to sign me, at that moment I couldn't believe what I heard, and I was extremely happy, because returning to Al Ahly was my first goal, I didn't look at any other offers, and I didn't think about any financial matters, all I wished for was to wear the Al Ahly shirt again".
He continued: "I feel that I returned to Al Ahly after gaining experiences and building my personality and ambitions, so I seek to make history inside this club, and achieve all the dreams and achievements that I have been thinking about since my childhood, Al Ahly is not comparable to any other club, and therefore there was nothing more important to me than returning to it".
He pointed out his awareness of the size of the responsibility inside the Red Castle, saying: "The player who wears the Al Ahly shirt must be accustomed to pressures and great responsibilities, so I prepared myself mentally before returning, and realized that I would face many challenges, and I must deal with them appropriately in all circumstances".

The new Al Ahly player continued his statements, saying: "I know very well that the opportunity I got I must seize, my dream has always been to become one of Al Ahly's leaders in the future, and therefore I will do everything I have to take advantage of this opportunity, in Al Ahly there is no alternative to winning, and I hope to help my teammates, and that we complement each other on the pitch".
He affirmed that the competition within the team would be a motivation for him, explaining: "The competition within the team will be in my favor, because it will help me develop, and I will learn a lot from the experienced players, the most important thing for me is focus and hard work, because the responsibility inside Al Ahly is great, and every player is required to give his best".
He added: "The next season will be full of challenges and difficulties, but Al Ahly is capable of overcoming them. We will do everything in our power to achieve all the titles, and to live up to the responsibility of this shirt, and to meet the expectations of Al Ahly fans".
He concluded: "I know very well Al Ahly's personality and the club's identity, as I used to see that in the senior players when I was a youth, Al Ahly fans always want to see their team in first place, and this is our goal as well, we await the fans' support, and with their backing we will fight to achieve all the titles and please them".
