Ali Mahmoud, the Al Ahly player, expressed his happiness at returning to the team after transferring from Enppi and stressed his goal of achieving all titles with the team.

Ali Mahmoud, the Al Ahly player, said via the club's website: "I am extremely happy to return to Al Ahly Club again, as it is my home where I grew up within its walls, and I spent 6 full seasons among its ranks before leaving it in the 2015 season. I am not a stranger to the club in any way, and of course I am happy to achieve my childhood dream".
He added, "I was sad and frustrated when I left, but my family supported me and trusted me and were supporting me to achieve the dream and return again.. I was extremely happy when Essam Serag spoke to me, and immediately I did not hesitate to agree and did not think about anything except returning to the team again".
He continued, "Certainly things are different now, after spending several seasons outside Al Ahly and gaining many experiences during them, and I have developed different ambitions, and I seek to write a new and great history with the club, and I have great motivations to achieve my ambitions since I was a youth player in Al Ahly's ranks".
He went on, "Al Ahly is incomparable to anyone.. When I received the offer to join the team, nothing occupied me except completing the negotiations and returning to my home again.. I know very well the difficulty of the task, and playing for Al Ahly requires a strong personality capable of withstanding pressures both on and off the pitch, which requires a lot of preparation and readiness to deal with all situations".
He added, "Certainly I will not waste this opportunity, and I will seek to take advantage of it by focusing and working hard in training.. And when I was a player in the youth sector, I aspired to join the first team, and now I have an appointment with a new challenge, and I will give everything I can to succeed in this mission".
He continued, "My goal is to win every match and every title.. We have nothing but to work on winning everything.. The team includes big names and experienced players, and we will all cooperate to win and please the fans.. Competition within the team serves everyone, and I will work hard to benefit from my teammates, and everyone at Al Ahly is always united as one man".
He noted, "Playing for the Club of the Century is a great responsibility, and the player must work hard and put all his focus into training and matches, and the challenges are difficult, and God willing, Al Ahly is capable of ending the season in the best possible way".
He concluded, "Al Ahly's fans are the greatest support and the secret to success, and they accept nothing but the number 1 in all titles, which is what we will fight to achieve, I personally trained inside the club and know its personality and identity, and I am certain of our ability to fulfill the fans' aspirations to please them by winning all titles".
The deal is the first announced by Al Ahly under the Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, the team's new coach.
Ali Mahmoud is the second player to transfer from Enppi to Al Ahly after the deal for Oktay Abdullah.
Ali Mahmoud participated in 32 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists, contributing to Enppi finishing sixth in the league and runners-up in the Egypt Capital Cup.
Al Ahly will participate in the African Confederation Cup during the next season after finishing third in the league.
