Ayman El-Sherei, chairman of ENPPI Club, clarified that there is no entity called "ENPPI Sharqiya Club"; rather, it is solely a sports investment company related to football.
Sharqiya ENPPI lost to Al-Ahly by three goals to two in their opening match of the Egyptian Premier League.
El-Sherei stated on On Sport Channel: "There is no such thing as 'Sharqiya ENPPI Club.' Every club has its own general assembly and assets, which are fixed matters. However, the law permits the establishment of a sports investment company, and anyone can participate in it. Currently, I am the chairman of Sharqiya ENPPI, which will be formally established next week. ENPPI's management is currently running the entity according to the memorandum of understanding, and there will be a board of directors and a chairman in the upcoming period."
He continued, "I am very happy with today's match despite the loss, because success for us is cumulative. ENPPI is introducing a new type of technical staff, in its entirety, to the Egyptian Premier League."
He added, "Today we faced the strongest team in Africa, a team that spent 700 or 800 million Egyptian pounds to secure very strong signings, whereas we sold players for more than 100 million pounds and our reinforcements are entirely young players. Nevertheless, had it not been for the missed penalty, we would have led by three goals in the first half."
He concluded, "We played today while suffering from five injuries among our key players, yet we displayed such quality. We are trying to build a system ensuring that any eleven players we field always perform at the same level."
