Mauricio Dolaak, the sporting director of Saudi club Al-Riyadh, spoke about the importance of Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet following his joining the team during the summer transfer window.
Mauricio said via Al-Nahar channel: "The Saudi League this season will definitely be stronger than before, and this is something I can confirm. We are on our way to further development, not only in our club but across the entire competition. New players and coaches have joined the league, and the quality level has clearly risen. I believe we are facing a very strong and distinctive season, perhaps the strongest in years."

He added: "Trezeguet is an extremely important player for me and for the club, as you mentioned. He was very influential in the last match, and we worked hard to sign him this season. I have known Trezeguet for a long time, and we studied him thoroughly before signing him."
He continued: "We always strive to attract the best elements capable of developing the team, and I am very happy with his arrival. I believe he will be a very important element in our project this season."
He elaborated: "Trezeguet faced pressures at Al-Ahly before joining us. I started talking to him even before officially signing the contract, trying to help him and alleviate his psychological and physical pressures. We were fully aware of what he had gone through during the previous period and its impact on him as a player."
He went on: "Since arriving at Al-Riyadh, he has shown great professionalism, placing himself among the top players in terms of commitment and hard work. He gives his all on the field, and I am very happy with him, just as the club is delighted to have him with us."
He added: "We are trying to change many concepts and develop the club's identity, while also working extensively on developing young players. A good number of young talents have joined us this season, which is important both personally for me and for the club."
He concluded: "We aim to position ourselves among the best clubs, but at the same time, we must be realistic.
