Al-Nassr Saudi Club announced today, Sunday, the official signing of Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa, to join the ranks of "Al-Alami" during the summer transfer window.
The announcement from Al-Nassr's official account on the "X" platform came as follows: "The knights.. overcome with courage and not with numbers.. A new knight.. in the ranks of Najd knights".
The signing of the Portuguese midfielder, coming from the ranks of Real Mallorca, comes to support the midfield position instead of the Croatian Marcelo Brozovic, who left due to the end of his contract.
Samu Costa had joined Al-Nassr's training camp, but the deal was not officially announced, amid an administrative crisis within the capital club represented by not obtaining the financial clearance certificate.
Al-Nassr succeeded in signing the Portuguese international after obtaining the financial clearance certificate, to bolster the player for the team ahead of the new season.
Al-Nassr did not announce the financial value of the deal for the 25-year-old, but the financial compensation is estimated at 9 million euros, according to Saudi press reports.
It is worth noting that Al-Nassr will begin its journey in the Saudi League competition against Al-Fateh on the 15th of this month, in the 2026-2027 season edition.
