Talaat Moharram, the football director of Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab, commented on statements made by Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed, who recently joined the "Wolves of the Mountains," regarding his departure from Al-Ahly and the role of coach Hussein Ammota in the matter.
Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed had previously given media interviews to clarify the reasons behind his departure from Al-Ahly during last summer's transfer window, detailing the circumstances of his dispute with Al-Ahly's coach Hussein Ammota (Read the full details here).
Talaat Moharram stated in an interview on "Modern MTI" channel: "Omar Kamal is a very respectable player with great morals; he never steps out of line. This is not new for him, as his father shares the same ethics and respect."
Moharram added: "Egyptian sports naturally witness numerous statements and controversies among all parties involved. Ultimately, the player did not offend anyone or go beyond acceptable bounds."
He concluded: "I followed Omar Kamal's statements about his time at Al-Ahly and his departure due to disagreements with coach Hussein Ammota. His words were stylish and respectful, and I have not spoken with him at all regarding this matter."
When asked about Al-Ahly's interest in signing player Mohamed Abdel Nasser and the possibility of finalizing the deal in the upcoming winter transfer window, he said: "No comment; I am not permitted to speak on this matter."
He further added: "Al-Ahly has not requested to train at Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab's stadium. It is very important to have experienced players in the squad, especially those who previously played for Al-Ahly and are now with us; they will certainly play a significant role for us."
The football director of Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab concluded: "Al-Ahly is a great club with star players. We are preparing to face Al-Ahly just like any other important match. Our team is fully ready, there are no absences, and we can compensate for any missing player."
