With this victory, all teams in the league have now earned at least one point in the standings, as Arab Contractors were previously the only team without any points.
During the match, Mahmoud Abu El-Saud was involved in several incidents after colliding with the goalpost, but he continued playing normally.
Meanwhile, El Gouna's goalkeeper Ahmed Massoud suffered an injury and was substituted in the 76th minute, replaced by Islam Emad.
Mustafa Gamal scored the match's only goal, securing Arab Contractors' victory, from a penalty kick in the 44th minute.
Arab Contractors will play their next match against Al Ahly on Wednesday, September 9, while El Gouna will face Pyramids FC on the same day.
