Al-Merrikh Club filed a complaint against its counterpart Pyramids with the Players' Affairs Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, demanding its dues from the resale of its former player Ibrahim Adel to the Emirati Al-Jazira Club.
Al-Merrikh Club explained in its complaint that it had concluded a tripartite contract with Al-Asyuti previously and Pyramids currently and Ibrahim Adel, which included a clause granting the first party the right to receive 20% of the resale value.
Al-Merrikh revealed that Pyramids sold Ibrahim Adel to Al-Jazira Club in the UAE in August 2025 for one million two hundred fifty thousand US dollars, affirming its entitlement to 20%.
The Port Said club confirmed that it contacted Pyramids management through official correspondence and emails to claim its 20% share from the resale of Ibrahim Adel, without the Sky Blues' management responding or fulfilling the contractual obligations stipulated.
Al-Merrikh Club demanded that all necessary measures be taken to ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations and the preservation of its rights against Pyramids, which consist of obtaining the due amount estimated at 250 thousand dollars.
