Al-Husseiny Abu Qamar, Vice Chairman of Al-Masry, confirmed that Emad El-Nahas, the team's former coach, was saddened by the failure to sign his son.
Emad El-Nahas has left his position as Al-Masry's head coach.
Al-Husseiny Abu Qamar stated on MBC Masr 2: "We do not deny Emad El-Nahas's efforts; rather, we acknowledge his role in winning the Cairo Capital Cup."
He added, "We are among the boards that exercise patience with coaches and always support them, and Emad El-Nahas knows this well."
He continued, "Discussing the reasons for El-Nahas's departure is not within my remit."
He further stated, "El-Nahas assumed that the reasons published on social media originated from the board of directors, which is untrue."
He went on to say, "Al-Ahly would have borne the larger share of the cost had we signed Gradisar."
He emphasized, "El-Nahas felt sad because his son was not signed, and that was the end of the matter. Kamal Abu Ali, the club's chairman, never personalizes issues."
He revealed, "El-Nahas requested the signing of Bassini, a striker from Renaissance Berkane, which would have cost us around 50 million Egyptian pounds. 'He is not Messi'; this figure is substantial for us."
He concluded, "We have not signed any player without Emad El-Nahas's approval."
El-Nahas took charge of Al-Masry before the end of last season, leading them to win the Cairo Capital Cup, the first trophy for the Green Fortress since the 1998 Egypt Cup.
Emad El-Nahas is the first coach to leave his team this season in the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Masry began the season with a 1-0 victory over Smouha, followed by a 3-2 win against El-Mokawloon Al-Arab, before suffering a 1-0 defeat to Pyramids FC.
Al-Masry is preparing to face Suez Petrojet on September 7 in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Masry will participate in the Egyptian Super Cup for the second time in its history, with the tournament scheduled to be held next December.
