Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly Club, confirmed that the Al-Ahly Stadium project is proceeding according to the set plan, indicating that he is personally following all stages of implementation in order to complete the project on the specified date.
The president of Al-Ahly began his speech by congratulating the Egyptian national team, the technical and administrative staff, the players, and the Egyptian football system, on the honorable performance in the 2026 World Cup, affirming that sports play a major role in making the fans happy, and that the current success must be invested in a way that serves the development of Egyptian sports.
Al-Khatib said, during his speech at the opening of the new Al-Ahly branch in Mansoura: "The executing company pledged to complete the construction of the stadium within 200 weeks, and I personally follow all these matters step by step in order to complete this investment project".
Al-Khatib explained that the opening of the new Mansoura branch represents the beginning of a new phase in the club's development project, and aligns with the state's directions for urban expansion, especially in new cities, stressing that Al-Ahly continues to perform its societal and developmental role alongside its sports successes.
He concluded that Al-Ahly, which was founded for national reasons, continues its path as the owner of historical achievements in various sports, affirming that the new branch is a complete facility befitting the club's members and the people of Mansoura Governorate.
