Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club president, affirmed that the establishment of the club's headquarters in the New Mansoura City comes within the framework of supporting the Egyptian state's orientations towards development and urban development, pointing out that the project represents a new step in Al-Ahly's journey and its national and societal role.
Al-Khatib began his speech during the foundation stone laying ceremony for Al-Ahly's headquarters in the New Mansoura by directing congratulations to the national team, and the technical, administrative, and medical staffs, after the honorable performance in the World Cup championship, affirming that what the team achieved reflects the importance of investing in sports, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Al-Ahly's president clarified that the partnership with "Delta Capital" company represents the beginning of an ambitious development project that aligns with the state's vision in supporting new cities, affirming that the club continues to perform its sports, societal, and developmental role, which it has been keen on since its establishment.
He added that laying the foundation stone for the New Mansoura headquarters is a historic milestone in the club's journey, especially as it is the first headquarters for Al-Ahly outside Cairo, affirming that the project will contribute to serving the people of the Delta and discovering sports talents, in line with the state's goals in supporting youth in the governorates.
Al-Khatib pointed out that Al-Ahly, since its establishment at the beginning of the last century, has been linked to a national message, and has succeeded in consolidating its position as the Club of the Century and the pioneer in various sports, noting that the club currently has headquarters in Zamalek, Nasr City, Sheikh Zayed, and New Cairo, before expanding for the first time outside Cairo by establishing the New Mansoura headquarters.
He stressed that Al-Ahly will continue its role in discovering and nurturing talents, citing the transfer of Hamza Abdel Karim to Spanish Barcelona, as a model of the successes achieved by the club's youth sector.
Al-Khatib concluded his statements by affirming that Al-Ahly's role is not limited to football only, but is a comprehensive sports and investment institution, possessing plans to develop its resources through its various companies, pointing to the continued work on the Al-Ahly Stadium project, alongside development and constructions in all club branches.
