Turkish club Fenerbahçe had been keen to offload the Brazilian striker due to his high salary amid restrictions on the maximum number of foreign players in the Turkish league.
Al Jazira's official signings in the current transfer market have reached nine, as follows: Anthony Denis, Milson, Saleh Malakouch Oglu, Cristian Asllani, Nermin Mujkic, Malcolm, Talisca, Ersin Destacioglu, and Ruben Amaral.
The summer transfer window in the UAE closes on September 28.
The Brazilian striker scored 44 goals and provided 7 assists in 75 matches played for Fenerbahçe.
Al Jazira currently tops the UAE Pro League standings with 9 points, tied with Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.
The 32-year-old player has had several professional stints with Benfica in Portugal and Evergrande in China, before moving to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and then to Fenerbahçe in Turkey.
