Al-Ittihad Saudi Club rejected the offer submitted by Italian Inter Milan to sign French winger Moussa Diaby, as the Saudi club insists on receiving greater compensation to approve the player's departure during the current summer transfer window.
According to "Sky Sport Italia," Inter submitted an offer that includes 20 million euros, along with the transfer of Albanian midfielder Kristjan Asllani to Al-Ittihad, in exchange for Diaby's services, but the offer was not accepted by the Saudi club.
Inter is already preparing to submit an improved offer exceeding the value of the first one.
The Italian club does not intend to give up in the race to sign the French winger, as it places Diaby among its targets to strengthen the attacking flanks, and plans to return to the negotiating table with a new offer in hopes of reaching an agreement with Al-Ittihad.
It appears that the main obstacle to completing the deal will not be related to the player's desire to transfer or his financial demands, as circulating information indicates that Diaby has agreed to the personal terms for joining Inter, with a salary of around 6 million euros per year.
Diaby had joined Al-Ittihad from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024, after a successful experience in the English Premier League following his standout performances with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
Inter is not the only club interested in Diaby's services, as Bayer Leverkusen has also entered the competition, with the German club seeking to reclaim its former player amid advanced negotiations, though no final agreement has been reached yet with either the player or Al-Ittihad.
