Al-Kholood Club's management signed with Hamed Al-Shanqiti, Jeddah Ittihad's goalkeeper, to bolster the team's ranks during the upcoming season.
Al-Kholood Club stated in a statement: "With passion and ambition to showcase his talent to the world.. Saudi national team under-23 goalkeeper Al-Shanqiti is now a Kholdawi".
The club clarified in the deal announcement that the player joined the preparatory camp in Spain in preparation for the new season.
Jeddah Ittihad had signed Al-Shanqiti in the summer of 2024 for five years in a free transfer deal after the end of his contract with Al-Shabab.
He guarded the Tigers' goal in 5 matches last season, including 4 in the Saudi League and one in the Saudi Super Cup competitions.
Al-Shanqiti became Al-Kholood's fifth signing during the summer transfer window after Guinean Sidy Sissoko, Spaniard Koba Da Costa, Abdulrahman Al-Obaid, and Mohammed Al-Rashidi.
