Al-Ismaily starts the Professional League with a loss against Masar.

Ismaily began their journey in the Professional League for the new 2026-2027 season with a 1-3 loss to Masar on Friday.

The match between Ismaily and Masar took place at Ismailia Stadium as part of the first round fixtures of the Professional League.

The Darawish are participating in the Professional League following their relegation from the Premier League.

Ismaily relied on a squad of young players and academy graduates, fielding the following lineup against Masar: "Abdullah Gamal, Omar El-Qot, Abdullah Mohamed, Ahmed Ayman, Abdullah Hassan, Ibrahim Abdel-Aal, Abdel-Rahman Ketkout, Mohamed Samir Kounta, Mohamed Khattari, Nader Farag, Anwar Sakr".

Samir Bilia opened the scoring for Masar from a penalty kick, while the second goal came through Ahmed El-Shamy.

In the 58th minute, Ismaily were awarded a penalty after the ball struck a Masar defender's hand.

Anwar Sakr successfully converted Ismaily's penalty with skill in the 60th minute.

In the 80th minute, Masar scored their third goal through Mohamed Hambouzo.

The match concluded with Ismaily losing to Masar by three goals to one in the opening round of the Professional League for the new season.
