Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported that Jeddah's Al-Ittihad club has strongly entered the line of Al-Hilal's negotiations with Nasser Al-Hilil, defender of Al-Najma club, during the current summer transfer window.

The report clarified that the sudden Al-Ittihad move to sign Al-Hilil came due to Ahmed Sharahili's injury.

Al-Najma management will welcome selling Al-Hilil to the highest bidder, especially after Al-Ittihad Jeddah joined the negotiations to sign the player, according to the report.
Days ago, Al-Hilal management sent an official offer to its counterpart at Al-Najma requesting the services of Nasser Al-Hilil, the team's defender, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya.
The report added that the capital's blue management is awaiting Al-Najma's response, in preparation for completing negotiations with the player and benefiting from him in the new season.
Al-Hilal management is considering a number of other local options in the center-back position, in case the negotiations falter.
This move comes in response to the request of the Italian Simone Inzaghi, the team's coach, whose report included signing a local defender.
Al-Hilil - 26 years old - began his career with Al-Ta'i in 2020, then moved to Al-Khaleej on loan, then to Al-Ain and Al-Jubail.
