Al-Hazem Club announced its official signing of the 26-year-old Rwandan international midfielder Bonheur Mugisha, as part of bolstering the first football team's squad in preparation for the upcoming competitions.
This comes based on the technical staff's conviction of his great potential in the holding midfield position, along with his physical strength, ability to win the ball, and contribution to building attacks from the back line.
Mugisha possesses a diverse professional record, having begun his career on Rwandan pitches with Heroes and Mukura Victory clubs before moving to the ranks of the Rwandan Army.
He subsequently gained several foreign experiences, playing in the Libyan league with Al-Ahli Tripoli, then moving to the Tunisian league where he defended the colors of Future Marsa and Stade Tunisien.
The player joins Al-Hazem from Al-Masry Port Said, which marked his last professional stop after delivering standout performances in the Egyptian Premier League and continental competitions; he is also regarded as one of the key elements in the Rwandan national team in recent years.
Mugisha's signing represents Al-Hazem's third foreign acquisition during the current transfer window, following the club's announcement on Saturday of signing Guinean Mory Konate and Tunisian Mohamed Ben Hamida, as part of the management's strategy to bolster the squad with distinguished foreign talents aligned with head coach Jalal Qadri's vision in preparation for the new season.
