An official statement from Estrela da Amadora read: "The club announces reaching an agreement to sign the young Egyptian player Ziad Mohamed Ayoub, who will join the under-23 team."
The statement clarified that the 18-year-old striker comes from the ranks of Al Ahly Club, noting that the deal embodies the Portuguese club's commitment to developing young talents.

Ziad Ayoub is one of the products of Al Ahly Club's youth sector, but he has not played any official matches with the first team, while he has featured in 8 matches for the Egypt under-17 national team.
It is noted that Al Ahly Club had previously approved the transfer of Hamza Abdel Karim to Barcelona, alongside the transfer of Bilal Attia to the Spanish club Racing Santander.
