Al-Ahly Club has submitted a request to the Egyptian Professional Clubs League and the Egyptian Football Association regarding its matches against Zamalek and Pyramids in the current season of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is scheduled to take place in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League on October 11, 2026.

Meanwhile, the match between Al-Ahly and Pyramids will be held in the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League on November 23, 2026.
A source told Batootat: "Al-Ahly has officially requested foreign referees for its matches against Zamalek and Pyramids in the league."
He added: "Al-Ahly sent its letter to the Clubs League, which in turn forwarded it to the Egyptian Football Association and the Referees Committee. The committee will begin contacting European federations to nominate officiating crews for both matches."
Pyramids Club currently tops the Egyptian Premier League standings with 9 points from three wins in the first three rounds, while Zamalek occupies second place with 7 points from the same number of matches. Al-Ahly comes in third with 6 points from only two matches.
