Al Ahly Club responded to news of an offer from Saudi Jeddah Union to sign Imam Ashour, midfielder of the first football team, during the upcoming summer transfer window, after his standout performances with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.

Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiya" reported that Al-Ittihad Club's management submitted an offer to Al-Ahly Club amounting to $6 million to purchase Imam Ashour's contract, along with an annual salary for the player reaching $4 million.
It clarified that Al-Ahly rejected Al-Ittihad's offer and insisted on receiving higher financial compensation, noting that Imam Ashour currently earns an annual salary of $315,000.

A source at Al-Ahly Club confirmed in exclusive statements to "Batoulat": "Reports of an offer from Al-Ittihad Saudi Club to sign Imam Ashour are incorrect."

The source stressed that Al-Ahly Club has not received any offer to sign the player so far, noting that the club's management would not object to the player's departure if a financial offer of $8 million is made.

It is worth noting that Al-Ahly signed Imam Ashour in July 2023 from Danish club Midtjylland for approximately $3 million.
