Al Ahly's first football team continues its intensive preparations for the upcoming match against Smouha, as part of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al Ahly had secured a valuable victory against Zed FC, winning 2-0 last Friday evening in the second round of the Premier League at the Cairo International Stadium.
The Red Devil, via its official Facebook account, posted images from the first team's collective training session held this Saturday morning, with the participation of all players, in preparation for the match against Smouha.
The match between Al Ahly and Smouha will take place next Thursday, as part of the third round of the Egyptian Premier League, at the home ground of the Alexandrian team.
Al Ahly's technical staff, led by Moroccan coach Hossam El Moutawakel, aims to continue winning and achieve a strong start in the new 2026/2027 season.
Al Ahly conducted its collective training without a day off, in order to raise the technical and physical readiness levels of all players, especially given the match congestion the team faces at the beginning of the current season.
Al Ahly's training session saw the participation of Iman Eshra, whom the technical staff is keen to prepare physically and technically in order to return to leading the team's midfield after his absence from previous matches.
Eshra is in good spirits during this period, especially after extending his contract with Al Ahly until the summer of 2030, which gives him an additional boost before returning to participate with the team.
A number of players who were absent in the last match against Zed participated in Al Ahly's collective training, particularly Moroccan Reda Salem, Mohamed Magdy Afshe, Yasser Ibrahim, and Ahmed Eid.
